Title: SQL Server Developer
Location: Davis, CA
Full Description:
Typical Project Responsibilities
Creating and maintaining SQL Server data loading processes and SSIS and DTS packages
Working closely with development teams to design and optimize ETL processes, including file-based and linked server-based data extractions
Designing and managing the load of data into datamarts for reporting, analysis, and application data provisioning
Creating migration and build scripts to propagate applications to production
Coordinating with our clients' DBAs for migration from development to production environments
Assisting in the design and implementation of database applications
Assisting in the development and implementation of database, backup, and security standards
Assisting in the development and implementation of SQL Server programming best practices and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Monitoring and optimizing query and database performance
General troubleshooting duties
Deployment and use of SQL Server Reporting Services, including ad hoc report creation, integrating reports into applications, etc.

A relevant degree
A minimum of 1-2 years development experience
Knowledge of relational data models, data modeling, database programming, and SQL
Solid testing skills
Strong business analysis and critical thinking skills
Ability to communicate well verbally, to meet with users and discuss their data, applications, and project requirements
Ability to write clearly, to create technical documentation that explains the design, development, testing, and maintenance of your applications.
Secondary Qualifications
The following skills and experience are helpful, but not necessary. Please apply even if you do not meet these criteria.
Experience with Supply Chain logistics, Pharmaceuticals, or the Healthcare industry
Certification as MCITP (Database Developer) or MCTS (SQL Server)
Other RDBMS experience (Oracle, DB2, Sybase)
Reporting experience (SQL Server Reporting Services, Crystal Reports, MS Access, etc.)
Front-end programming languages (VB.Net, C#, VBA, etc.) and environments (Windows Forms, VB Forms, MS Access, etc.)
Web development experience (ASP classic, ASP.Net, PHP, JSP)
Additional Requirements
You will need to complete online tests to demonstrate competency in Analytical Thinking, SQL, and SQL Server
You will need to clear a criminal background investigation (required by our clients)
You must provide documentation showing that you are legally authorized to work in the United States.
